Just Like That by Lena Hendrix (The Kings Series)
“Did you ever think this would be your life?” “Did I think a wild, cheerful woman and a cute, quirky kid would fall into my life and make me realize just how stuck I had been?” “No. I can’t say that I saw that one coming.”

- Grumpy x Sunshine
- Found Family
- Age Gap
Despite being the youngest JP has always been the one to take care of things for his family. To fix things when they go sideways. So what if that makes him the villain in most stories. So what if people think he's just like his ruthless father. He's content to just focus on saving his father's company that's he's built for most of his life and finding out what happen to his mother. That is until she blows into town and blows up his life by saying the sweet boy she's got with her is... his son.
Hazel has always been a go with the flow, wind beneath your wings kind of girl. She's even built an entire business that's based on her traveling about in her Scoolie. That is until her sister passes away and she become guardian to he sweet nephew Teddy. Her sister wanted one thing for him to know his father. So she packs him and the Scoolie up and goes to find him. Too bad his dad is an absolute asshole.
Soon late night talks turn to more and just like that that asshole begins to mean so much more to her... and to Teddy.
Gah! This book was so good! It had the element of mystery that we've had since the first series. And the question of 'is JP the dad?' is done so well! Watching stick in the mud JP fall head over heels for not just scatterbrained Hazel, but also for sweet, unique Teddy was heart melting! 🫠
And I'm so freaking excited for MJ to FINALLY get her book next!!
Thank you Lena Hendrix for the ARC!
